Grass Roots Racing Series Round 4

I recently attended the Grass Roots Racing Series Round 4 on March 11 2017. My goal was to race Ebuggy, Gas Buggy, and Gas Truck, but my Gas buggy ended up not working out for me.

My Ebuggy and Gas Truck drove amazingly! I was Dialed on AKA tires, RevTech Batteries and Trinity Motor! I had no motor fade the entire race and my Buggy was really on point. I should have rebuild my shocks before the main though, rookie mistake.

This was my first time ever racing a nitro vehicle and it was the Gas Truck class!! The truck was so fun to drive and it was doing wheelies everywhere.

Here is a shot of all the tires I was gluing up! These AKA 1/8 scale tires are super easy to glue and the long wear compound performs very consistently.

Here is a shot of my broken down buggy. I simply couldn't get my engine to hold a tune. I did get the buggy race ready with a full shock rebuild and I replace a ton of broken stuff..

A shot of one of the Pro's that was attending this race! David is a great driver and a really nice guy!

Here are some shots of all the parts I took with me to race my Team Losi 22nt/xxxnt. So many parts! I ended up helping my fellow racer out with some parts, I am glad I have enough extra stuff.

Here is a video of my Ebuggy race. I qualified 4th, but ended up 8th after getting taken out and making a few mistakes.

Here is a video of my Gas Truck race. I qualified 1st, but ended up in second. I made a few mistakes and my competitor walked away from me!

Overall I had a great time attending this race and I cannot wait until the next one. Thank you Team Trinity for the great motors and batteries! Also thank you AKA for making such great tires. A huge Thank You to Oscar Lopez for helping me get prepared the night before, you are a savior dude!

Good luck at the races! Remember, you can always ask me for help, just look for the AKA tires, Trinity/RevTech power and the KLA logo at the track.
